Undine Brod who received her MFA in Ceramics from The Ohio State University (2011) first exhibited in a solo exhibition at Sean Christopher Gallery following her studies at OSU and was also selected Winner of the 2011 Ohio State Fair Juried Exhibition “Best of Show Award” that same summer.

Undine, a Rhinebeck NY-based artist, has been selected to attend a multitude of artist residency programs here in the U.S. and internationally during her career. The artist has an extensive record of exhibiting her art in galleries and non-traditional venues. She’s been selected for public art projects and has taught ceramics in schools and privately.

Hues: Cadmium yellow after Andy Warhol Skull series. Girl with a pearl ear ring, Johannes Vermeer, dated c. 1665. I used “hue replacement on tone theory” of Van Gogh. I used Flochetage painting theory invented by Eugène Delacroix (1798–1863). The Cadmium yellow is applied behind the work and allowed to bleed through randomly. Increasing color vibrancy. “Paint like a child” line work after picasso.. i really miss petie the cat. She is buried in the 12th flower garden at the 126-year-old Crabtree House Art Studio and Flower Gardens. It has been a couple of years since her passing. I always say hi. If you visit and want to say hi. She has two large stone markers and flowers where she rests under a 6 story maple tree.
